Glimmer is a Windows app that turns stream recordings into highlight videos, subtitles and shorts. It is not public yet. Test it early, tell us what to fix, and keep Glimmer for free.

Glimmer Tester Agreement

1. Purpose

This agreement sets the terms under which you test a pre-release version of Glimmer, a Windows desktop app for turning stream recordings into highlight videos, subtitles and shorts.

By accepting, you confirm you have read and agree to the terms below.

2. Confidentiality

You agree not to share anything about Glimmer with anyone, in any form, without written permission.

Confidential information includes the app itself and its installer, screenshots, screen recordings or videos of the app itself, descriptions of features or how they work, the test builds, any version numbers, bugs you find, and the content of this agreement.

You will not:

  • share, post, upload or send any of the above, in whole or in part, publicly or privately (including social media, Discord, messaging apps, streams and videos)
  • pass the app or installer to any other person
  • copy, reverse engineer or decompile the app

Exceptions: this does not apply to information that is already public through no fault of yours, or that you must disclose by law.

Duration: this obligation applies from acceptance until Glimmer is publicly released. Everything stays confidential until that release. After release, you may share your own experience with the public version.

What you may share:

  • Videos, shorts, subtitles and thumbnails you made with Glimmer. Post them on your channel as normal. You don't have to mention Glimmer, but a credit like "Made with Glimmer" would be much appreciated.
  • Official material from this website, such as the logo or a "Made with Glimmer" clip. You may use it in your videos and link to the website.

Everything else, especially screenshots or recordings of the app itself, stays confidential.

3. Feedback

Required: after testing, you fill out a feedback questionnaire (Google Forms). It takes about 15 to 20 minutes. We send you the link when testing ends.

Optional: you are welcome to talk with us about the app and share further thoughts, ideas or screenshots sent directly to us. Write us on X or email [email protected]. This is entirely voluntary and has no consequences if you decline.

By giving feedback, you allow us to use it to improve Glimmer, without any payment or credit.

Reward: once you have completed the questionnaire, you receive a free Glimmer licence. It is permanent, so you can use Glimmer without time limit.

4. Other terms

  • No warranty: the test version is unfinished and may contain errors. Use it at your own risk and keep backups of your video files. We are not liable for data loss, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
  • Data: Glimmer processes your videos locally on your PC. Your answers in the questionnaire are stored with Google Forms and used only to improve Glimmer.
  • Licence: the licence you receive as the reward is personal and non-transferable, so you cannot sell, share or give it to anyone else. It lets you use Glimmer; you gain no ownership of Glimmer itself.
  • Ending the test: either of us can end your participation at any time. On request, you delete the app and all related files.

5. Acceptance and application

To accept, fill in the form below and send it. Ticking the box counts as your agreement. Do not start testing before you have sent it.
