In short: check where your video goes, how the tool is priced, whether you can see why a clip was picked, and what you can still edit afterwards.
| Ask | Why it matters | Glimmer |
|---|---|---|
| Is my video uploaded? | Long streams are large files, and some tools process them on a server. | No. Analysis and editing run on your PC. |
| How is it priced? | Subscriptions can limit processing minutes per month. | 15 EUR once. See pricing. |
| How are clips picked? | If you cannot see why, you cannot tune it. | Scored from speech, loudness, pitch and on-screen events. Each clip shows its reasons. |
| Can I change the result? | No tool finds every good moment. | Drag and drop on a timeline, or export XML or EDL to Premiere or DaVinci Resolve. |
| Subtitles and shorts too? | Fewer tools in one workflow. | Yes, from the same run. |
| Which system? | Some tools are browser-only. | Windows 10 and 11 only. |
Glimmer is not for you if you need Mac or Linux, automatic posting, or a model that writes titles and scripts. For named tools and prices, see the comparison.
