How to make a highlight video from a long stream or VOD
Turn hours of VOD into a video you can post tonight. Updated 19 October 2026.
You need: the stream saved as a video file on your Windows 10 or 11 PC.
1. Drop the video
Create a project, pick your file.
2. Pick a preset and length
Action RPG, FPS, Horror or Talking.
3. Press Run
Named stages and a time estimate. The app stays usable.
4. Answer a few questions
Yes or no on candidate clips. “Not this one” rejects a clip.
5. Edit
Drag clips between the rows: used, source and bench (the spare clips). Drag edges to trim.
6. Export
Video, or an edit file (XML or EDL) for your own editor. Subtitles as a text file (SRT).
How do I get better picks?
| Do this | You get |
|---|---|
| Use a separate mic track | Much better speech and pitch |
| Box a death, boss or victory screen once | Those moments are found all stream long |
| Skip intro and outro | No dead stream time in the video |
What if I run it again?
Clips you touched stay. Or start fresh.
Next: add subtitles or cut shorts from the same run.
